11 Week Ski Instructor Course.

The ALLTRACKS 11 week ski instructor course is the ideal way to spend a ski season. It will take your skiing to the next level, you will earn internationally recognised ski instructor qualifications and it will give your career break or gap year focus and purpose -  whether you want to go on and instruct or just really improve your all mountain skiing. It is not just about the time you spend on the mountain though, our team will ensure you make the most of your time on and off the slopes making your instructor course the experience of a lifetime whether you choose Red Mountain, Revelstoke or Whistler.

THE TUITION.

You will be receiving expert tuition from some of the most experienced instructors in Canada. Regardless of your current ability, your skiing will quickly improve allowing you to ride with confidence and style whatever the conditions. Skiing in small class sizes with people of a similar level of experience and ability, your instructor will develop your technique and prepare you for the Canadian Ski Instructor’s Alliance (CSIA) exams. You also benefit from 1:1 private lessons at certain points through the season and at Red Mountain these occur even more regularly.

For the initial few weeks, you will work almost exclusively on piste to concentrate on your technique in order to build on your strengths and to tackle the weaknesses in your skiing. With the aid of video analysis (which is pretty amusing when it’s not you in front of the camera), you will soon have ironed out any major problems in you technique. Following this, the instruction will concentrate on the CSIA Level 1 syllabus working on the actual drills you will need to perform and practicing the most up to date teaching methods. Many of the instructors are examiners themselves so you are sure to be well prepared.

Following the CSIA Level 1 Exam, students will begin to explore more of the mountain and you will be taking advantage of your instructor’s intimate knowledge of the ski area to enjoy many of Whistler, Revelstoke or Red's secret powder stashes. The instructor will work on powder and off piste technique as well as completing modules in mogul and steep skiing. For those interested in freestyle, there is also plenty of opportunity to hit the awesome terrain parks on both Whistler and Blackcomb.

For those skiers who want to go for CSIA Level 2 and other qualifications such as CSCF Race Coach or CSIA Park Instructor freestyle, these exams are scheduled for the last few weeks of your course giving for plenty of time with your instructor to work on all the necessary skills needed. The 1:1 private lessons are scheduled in the weeks building up to level 2 exams.

OVERNIGHT BACKCOUNTRY TOUR.

Included as part of your ski instructor course, the backcountry ski tour is a real highlight. Led by your guide, you will explore the Coast Mountains seeking out deep, untracked snow. Deep powder, big smiles!

OFF THE MOUNTAIN.

At ALLTRACKS Academy, we want everyone to enjoy the entire season experience and believe the time you spend off the mountain is just as important as the time you’re riding. Spending 11 weeks, or longer, gives you the time to experience everything the resort has to offer from chilling out in the village and going on the odd night out to enjoying all the sports and nature facilities close by. The Alltracks team will organise a couple of activities each week, where everyone is welcome to join in. If people would rather stay in or do things independently, then obviously they are welcome to do that too. The atmosphere and off slope options do vary from each resort, so please contact one of the ALLTRACKS team for further information if you wish.
