Ski & Snowboard Instructor Training in Canada.

At ALLTRACKS Academy, we have skiers & snowboarders from all over the world including the UK, Australia, mainland Europe and South Africa. For those who are really using one of our instructor courses as a way to enjoy a gap year or career break whilst improving their skiing or snowboarding, Whistler is often an obvious choice due to the reliable snowfalls, huge terrain and vibrant town.

However, a certain number of our clients take an ALLTRACKS course with the aim of securing an instructor's job and begining a new career in the mountains. For these people in particular, it is an important consideration to decide on whether to choose the Canadian instructor's system and work towards the qualifications offered by the Canadain Ski Instructor's Alliance (CSIA) and Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI).

NO LANGUAGE BARRIER

The vast majority on an Alltracks ski or snowboard instructor's course are from an English speaking country (and those that are not speak English very well). We feel receiving technical tuition from someone in your mother tongue is pretty critical. Your course is not just an afternoon cruising around the Alps so we wnat to make sure that you the advice and training you receive is clear and concise.

Canadian's are known for being super friendly and this definitey helps when learning a new skill. All our backcountry ski & snowboard guides and instructors are selected for their enthusiasm and sheer love of the mountains as well as their experience and skill.

PROGRESSIVE TRAINING

Both the CSIA & CASI take a very forward thinking, progressive approach to training instructors. Not only do they use all the latest methods of ski/ snowboard teaching but they extend the training to include communication and guest service too which plays a huge part in working in the outdoor industry. As well as your skiing or snowboarding improving, your teaching, leadership and communication skills will be developed too.

START WORKING AS AN INSTRUCTOR QUICKER

Unlike many ski & snowboard instructor qualifications, including BASI, both the CSIA & CASI Level 1 qualification do actually qualify you as an instructor and allow you to start working straight away. Although work experience can be incorporated into our programmes, it is not necessary to begin instructing. We feel this is much better than having to complete a long period of unpaid work experience like you do in the other systems when you have already completed a thorough training course.

The CSIA & CASI qualifications are internationally recognised and we provide a full recruitment service to our ALLTRACKS Academy clients. Level 1 is a great start and if you can complete the Level 2 on offer you will be very well placed to begin your career as a ski or snowboard instructor.
