Ski Instructor Internship

Overview

ALLTRACKS and Whistler Blackcomb ski school are offering a fantastic course followed by a GUARANTEED instructor job (subject to a successful telephone interview conducted over the summer and then passing the Level 1 Exam). Join us at Canada's biggest and best resort to train with the best pros and then spend the rest of the season as part of the team as a full time instructor.

The Internship consists of a 4 week ski instructor course followed by working for the rest of the winter season at Whistler Blackcomb.

Internship Registration Procedure

If you are interested in joining the Whistler University Internship Course, it is important that you get in touch with us as soon as possible as places are limited. Please email or call one of the team so we can go through the process in full, tell you all about it and answer any questions. Remember we are here to help!
Candidates do need to have some relevant skills/experience. These should include:

• Very Positive, enthusiastic and motivated outlook
  
• Be at least an intermediate/advanced skier or snowboarder
  
• Excellent communication skills
  
• Must be able to work happily in a team environment
  
• Some experience in coaching/teaching
  
• Some experience of leadership
  
• Must have a working visa for Canada. Visas are still available but run out each year so it is critical that you apply asap. Please call/email the office for information on how to apply.

Working after the Course

Once you have completed the CSIA Level 1 during the 4 week course, you will go on to work at the Whistler Blackcomb Ski School as a full time instrcutor for the 2011/12 winter season. Whistler attracts skiers form all over the world and being part of Canada's most successful ski school should ensure that you have a wonderful winter.

Accommodation

As part of the ALLTRACKS internship course, you are entitled to Whistler Staff Accommodation for both the course and for the remainder of the season while you are working for the ski school. The staff accommodation is functional, sociable and well located.
The course cost covers your accommodation during the training element (18 Nov - 16 Dec 2011) and then you will pay for it out of your Whistler Blackcomb wages once you start working.

Meals

Delicious diners are included once per week during the training course. We all eat at a local restaurant and it is a great time for everyone on the course to get together, socialise, have a nice meal and tell tall tales of the day.....
