2 Week Snowboard Improvement Course
The ALLTRACKS Academy 2 week snowboard improvement course in Whistler is real holiday with a difference. Combining first class coaching with a fun and sociable group atmosphere, you will finish your holiday not only recharged with your break away, but also a much better rider. The tuition focuses on developing freeride technique whilst enjoying the whole mountain, hunting out powder wherever possible.
Rather than wasting time trying to find the best spots, your instructors and guides will ensure you get the best conditions every day!
The training on the two week course comes from some of Whistler's most experienced pros. Their knowledge and enthusiasm will help revolutionise your riding, giving you the confidence and skill to tackle more testing terrain.
The terrain in Whistler is so vast and varied, you will have the opportunity to enjoy it all. From fun tree runs, big alpine style descents and also hopefully experience some of the famed Whistler powder.

Over the middle weekend, you will take the Canadian Avalanche Association Avalanche Skills Training Level 1 course in order to give you an insight into avalanhe safety. The AST-1 is an invaluable course for skiers and snowboarders venturing into unpatrolled areas. It is the only course of this type that is officially recognised by the Canadian Avalanche Association and is taught by members of the association or ACMG Guides.
It focuses on the ability to recognise and avoid avalanche terrain and how to effectively rescue a member of your group in an avalanche situation. You will learn about:
- Recognise and avoid avalanche terrain
- Terrain Evaluation
- Snowpack structure analysis
- Safe route selection
- Weather study
- Avalanche rescue techniques
- "Avaluator" for decision making support
