6 Week Off Piste Ski Course Whistler
Overview
The 6 week off piste improvement or backcountry ski course in Whistler is a great way to experience some of the most exciting ski terrain in North America. The aim of this course is develop your off piste ski technique and introduce you to mountain safety in a fun and constructive environment.
For those people wishing to do a longer course, the 6 week off piste course can be combined with the 5 week instructor beforehand which gives a perfect grounding in all mountain ski technique.

The Training
The training in this 6 week course aims to take you from a confident black run skier into one that can ski technically well in all terrain, with the focus very much being in deep snow and off piste terrain. We also want to showcase the beauty of the Coast Mountains in British Columbia.
We combine training with ski instructors and ACMG ski/mountain guides. The instructors will develop your actual technique so that you can handle steeper, more exciting terrain. As with all our courses, we aim to spend part of day doing technical skiing, drills and video analysis aimed at honing technique. The other part of the day is at a higher tempo, high mileage skiing to enjoy the area and hit the best spots around Whistler Blackcomb. Also included is a 3 day Cat skiing trip based out of a remote mountain hut accessed by snowmobile.
The training with the guides focuses more on showcasing the backcountry terrain and teaching you about avalanche skills and mountain safety, as well as obviously enjoying more remote routes away from the resort boundaries. We also include a multi day hut tour so that you can really enjoy the peace & powder of Beautiful British Columbia.
Whistler
Whistler Blackcomb is home to the biggest ski area in North America and surrounded by peaks as impressive as anywhere. The scale of terrain and unlimited off piste options make it the ideal choice for our extended Canadian off piste course. The regular big snowfalls usually allow for many powder days each season allowing us to practice & enjoy powder skiing regularly throughout the course. No other Canadian resort comes close to the scale of Whistler Blackcomb.
Accommodation
We appreciate just how important good accommodation is. On our Whistler courses you stay in well located, comfortable chalets or condos.
All our accommodation have living rooms where you can relax and unwind, well equipped kitchens where you can cook on the evenings where meals are not included, wireless internet and many have hot tubs too. We do not have accommodation in the far outlying areas of Whistler such as creekside or Alpine meadows.

Course Meals
We provide delicious and nutritious dinner Monday - Thursday. the meals are sociable occasions where everyone on the course eats together and you can regale ech other with the day's powder adventures
Off Slope Activities
Whistler is an energetic, vibrant place with lots going on when you are not skiing or snowboarding. Our resort manager is on hand 24/7 and available to organise various social events. People are welcome to join on or of course, do things independently too. Whistler is home to Canada's best apres ski, there are film festivals, theatre, a cinema, a great gym and climbing centre and lots more too.
