4 & 5 Week Snowboard Instructor Course
Overview
The ALLTRACKS 4 & 5 week snowboard instructor courses in Whistler combine gaining the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors Level 1 qualification with 4 or 5 weeks of all out snowboarding to improve your riding all over the mountain. From understanding your riding technique, enjoying the deep Whistler pow, to learning about avalanche safety- this month on your board should be one of your best ever!
The Training
The ALLTRACKS Academy 4 and 5 week snowboard camps should arm you with new skills to take your snowboarding to the next level. Instruction from some of Whistler's top snowboard pros will lead to a much greater understanding of your all mountain technique. Working towards your CASI Level 1 exam gives the course a clear focus and is an ideal way to enjoy an extended, challenging snowboard holiday. Sessions are both morning and afternoon. During one part of the day we work on specific drills and technique sessions in order to get you riding technically well and prepared for the Level 1. The other is a higher tempo session around the mountain more focused on powder and putting into practice what you have been taught. The coach will still be providing personal, constructive feedback in all sessions.
Backcountry Training
The Avalanche skills training and the backcountry modules give you a useful introduction to backcounty snowboarding safety and off piste travel. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy the fresh powder of Whistler and the surrounding Coast Mountains which is often as deep as you want.
Course Accommodation
During your snowboard course, you stay in well located, very comfortable accommodation in Whistler. Due to the length of the course, we know how important it is to have somewhere where you feel at home.
Course Meals
Delicious meals are provided Monday - Thursday evenings which are a great opportunity for everyone on the course to get together, relax and exchange tales of the day's adventures
Whistler
When you're out in resort for a month, it's important to be at a resort that is going to big enough to keep you satisfied. Whistler is North America's biggest resort by a looooong way and you'll be discovering new spots everyday. It's not just about size though - the sheer quality of the terrain is awesome with great open powder bowls up top and fun tree runs on the lower part of the moutain - the best of both worlds!
The village of Whistler is a vibrant energetic place that attracts snowboarders from all over the world. From first timers to the best pros in the business. There is loads going on to keep you entertained and it's a great place to be based for a month or longer.
