STEEP - BIG MOUNTAIN SKI MOVIE

Following the success of the snowboard movie, Lines, last week, Whistler Cinema decided to show Steep, a documentry on the rise of big mountain skiing. About 15 of the ALLTRACKS group went along and enjoyed the likes of Doug Coombs, Shane McConkey & Ingrid Backstrom going huge in Alaska, BC and La Grave. The film also chronicles the pioneers of the sport with segments from the 60s and 70s.

It certainly inspired us all. We are up for first lifts after a foot of snow fell throught the night. We may not have been going quite as big, but there were some solid laps in the pow off the Peak Chair before hitting the Harmony Bowl. Deep snow, cornice drops & Bbue bird - Good Times!
