ALLTRACKS Academy ski & snowboard intructor courses and improvement courses began at Whistler in British Columbia, Canada. Whistler is the epicentre of the modern skiing and snowboarding movement and in our view, it is one of the world's best.

Whistler is home to the biggest and most varied ski and snowboard area in North America. Not only is the area huge, it also benefits from very reliable snow- Whistler often has the deepest snow pack of any resort in Canada. Last year whist the major European resorts were left wanting, Whistler was regularly receiving 2 foot dumps overnight. Combining the scale of the big European resorts with very reliable snowfall, Whistler is the ideal resort for keen skiers and snowboarders.

It is one of the few Canadian resorts to enjoy excellent tree skiing as well as open, alpine terrain that European riders are more familiar with. The bottom half of both Whistler & Blackcomb are both gladed and some really fun tree runs can be found on both mountains. Up top, the terrain opens up with huge powder bowls and big style descents. Whether you are a relative novice, a piste bashing intermediate looking to get to grips with deep snow or an expert rider looking to further your free ride, race or backcountry skiils - Whistler has the terrain to suit.

Whistler Village is the ideal place to live whilst doing a ski or snowboard instructor courses. It has a vibrant and energetic community that attracts people from all over the world who come searching for the ultimate mountain lifestyle. It is important to remember that spending 11 weeks or longer in a resort means that the village where you live is just as important as the mountain. Whistler has a great choice of cafes and bars but also has a cinema, climbing centre, gym, theatre and loads more too. One of the major things that differentiates Whistler from most other Canadian resorts is that the village is right at the foot of the mountains. In practical terms this has the huge benefit of not having to sit on a bus everyday after a day on the hill. However, even more imporatantly in our view, is that it means Whistler has a real ski resort atmosphere with great apres ski and an energetic and international resort vibe.
