The town of Whistler is the perfect place to spend an extended ski or snowboard trip and to do a ski or snowboard instructor course. The place is energetic and fun but friendly and welcoming at the same time. Many ski resorts, although great for a week, can become pretty claustrophobic, even boring, after a while. However, Whistler has an unmatched diversity with loads going on off the slopes. It has a great choice of independent cafes for chilling out, some fun bars and clubs with live bands or DJs for the odd night out and loads more. Even though you may be ski or snowboard instructor training, you will no doubt want to experience all Whistler has to offer.
- Gym – as if you’ll need it skiing all day
- A cinema and theatre
- Museum and library
- Climbing wall and Ice wall
- Spas- Girls (and guys) can treat themselves to a mid season massage
- Wildlife viewing

The Alltracks Academy team will be organising activities every week. People are free to do everything if they wish but if you want to do experience Whistler independently then obviously you are welcome to do that too.
In is also worth noting that Whistler attracts a large number of ski and snowboard festivals and competitions throughout each season, and there is always a great atmosphere at each event. Whether you want to watch racers, big mountain riders or the best freestyle skiers or snowboarders- you should have that opportunity whilst on your instructor course or improvement camp. |
