Val d'Isere is located in the Tarentaise Valley in the Savoie area of France in the Western Alps. Although much development has taken place over the years, measures have been taken to make the village more visually appealing and these have been successful.
The main hub of Val, centred around the traditional centre is a vibrant and attractive area with a range of cafes, great equipment shops and plenty of bars and restaurants.
Despite being a very popular resort, the extremely well planned lift system (with 8 entry points from the valley) leads to efficient loading and minimal queueing to get up riding each day.

Getting around Val d'Isere is straight forward. Although ALLTRACKS accommodation is well located (and never in the outlying and unattractive La Daille area), there is a free bus service that runs regularly up and down the valley.
