Val d'Isere - Skiing & Snowboarding

Val d'Isere, together with it's neighbour Tignes, forms the Espace Killy ski area, one of Europe's most famous ski domains. The Espace Killy is Europe's most complete ski & snowboard area with massive terrain, diverse runs, numerous off piste itineraries and an exceptional snow record.

 Espace Killy

From the forests of Le Fornet, the Glacier of Le Grande Motte to the vast expanse of the Vanoise National Park, Val d'isere and Tignes offer a huge amount of skiing and snowboarding. The pistes vary from gentle greens to some of Europe's steepest blacks and include everything in between. With the area ranging from 3455m to 1550m, Espace Killy boasts an incredible vertical drop making for exceptionally long runs, both on and off piste.

Val d'Isere is famous for its extensive lift served off piste runs that provide endless options close to the resort during ALLTRACKS off piste courses. There are also more adventurous options, deeper into the beautiful and rugged Vanoise National Park.

The SNOW

With it's high altitude and fortuitous micro climate, Espace Killy is recognised as one of the most snow sure resorts in Europe, and this is validated by generally having the longest ski season in the Alps.

On the ALLTRACKS Val d'Isere courses, the principal aim is to enjoy and improve at riding in deeper snow, so Val was the obvious choice!

More info on the off piste ski & snowboard courses

  • Area: 10,000 Hectares
  • Pistes: 300 Kms
  • Lifts: 102
  • Snowfall: Approx 5 metres per year
  • Vertical: 1905 Metres

Whilst the statistics above do paint a pretty impressive picture, they do not do justice to the breath taking quality of the skiing and snowboarding in Val d'Isere. More exciting than the 3 Valleys, bigger than Verbier, more accessible than Chaminox, and better snow reliability than any of them.

Enjoying the powder. Is anything as much fun?
