Whistler 2008 - Week 3.

Having been on the ski & snowboard instructor course for 3 weeks now, we are all well settled in to the Whistler life. It is a fantastic resort and the riding has been awesome. The fine, sunny weather last week provided me with a great opportunity to tour out beyond Blackcomb and I am already looking forward to joining all the guys on their backcountry overnight tour in Week 7.

So far the majority of the ski & snowboard lessons have focussed on general rider improvment as well as discovering what these two awesome mountains have to offer.Next week there will be more attention to the CASI & CSIA Level 1 exams, but there is still plenty of time for fun.

Off the mountains, some of the group went to watch STEEP, a big mountain skiing documentary highlighting the careers of some of the most progressive big moutain riders on the planet. Amazing footage from Alaska, British Columbia, The Alps and Iceland, truely inspiring - encouraging everyone to get up for first lifts the next morning and really go for it.
