With the excitment of the backcountry touring and avalanche training behind us, it was now time to concentrate fully on the CSIA Level 2 preparation. The exam is essentially the same as the previous one, but requires far better execution and a greater understanding of the techniques required to ski well.
The vast majority of the group were going for their Level 2 with only a handful of people deciding not to. The instructors were helpful as ever and we even altered the groups around in order to gain exposure to other peoples techniques which was especially useful. Despite being a fairly intense week, we all enjoyed it and as always, there was plenty of time for fun - skiing the incredible terrain that Whistler Blackcomb offers |
