2 Week Ski Touring Course Whistler

Go Further

Expand your horizons with the ALLTRACKS Ski Touring Course. If you want to push beyond the resort boundaries and explore the Coast Mountains then this course if for you. We combine off piste technique coaching from some of the best coaches in Canada with ski tour guiding from ACMG or IFMGA guides so that you get to experience the best the mountains have to offer.

We also include the Canadian Avalanche Association Avalanche Skills Training Level 1 in order introduce or refresh mountain safety. Half of the coaching days will be resort based off piste with short hikes, while the the other half is on ski touring equipment.

The aims of the course are to improve your off piste technique, teach Avalanche Safety Skills and explore the best terrain in Whistler and the surrounding backcountry.

In order to join this course, you should be an advanced resort skier (AT Level 3 or better). Although previous ski touring experience will be of use, it is not absolutely necessary. You will be taught how to tour efficiently during the course, but a good level of cardiovascular fitness is important. If you are unsure of your ability/fitness, please get in touch with us and we can happily go through in more detail.
